          Toprakkale Castle is at the intersection of Osmaniye, Adana and İskenderun roads. The history of the fortress dates back to 2000 BC. The fortress was named as Kınık Fortress in the Ottoman Period. The fortress built on a mound has been reconstructed with black stones in the time of the Abbasid Caliph Harun Rashid in the 8th century. The rectangular fortress has 12 towers and outer courtyard walls. The castle, which is open to visitors, is illuminated at night and landscaped.
