Seven Lakes National Park is located in the Black Sea Region, north of Bolu province, south of Zonguldak province, east of Düzce province, and is accessible from Mengen district of Bolu Province. In addition, it is reached from Yeniçağa from the 152th km of the Ankara-Istanbul highway and north of the Bolu province at 190 km. Since the route of Bolu-Seven Lakes in winter is covered with snow, transportation is only made through Yeniçağa-Mengen-Yazıcık.
National Park
In the National Park, which is located in a very hilly region of the Western Black Sea Region, the lakes formed by the landslide are the main sources of trout living in the lush vegetation lakes resembling the Orman Forest Sea ve and the recreation use potential created by these values. In general, the ground structure consists of serpentines and volcanic rocks. From time to time the ground movements ready to drift are the main factors that prepare the formation of lakes. The lakes are the embankment lakes where the waters accumulate as a result of the sliding masses blocking the valleys. Some of these are interconnected with bottom leaks.

The dominant vegetation in the National Park is beech trees. In addition, various types of trees such as oak, hornbeam, alder, larch, scotch pine, fir, elm, linden and yew are also seen.

With effective protection, there are deer, roe deer, bear, wild boar, wolf, fox and squirrel species in the Park and its surrounding areas.

The first cultural trout breeding station in Turkey was established in this National Park in 1969. Therefore, it has been the source of angling for recreation. Trout species brought by fishermen from Abant brought eggs to the point of extinction by eating the eggs of the natural trout varieties of the seven lakes. In addition, camping, daily picnic, hiking in nature, photography are the activities of visitors.

When you visit Kapankaya landscape within Yedigöler National Park, it is possible to see lakes and unique landscape beauties, as well as monumental tree sign on this route. The monument tree can be seen when the path is followed from the roadside plate. Deer production area can be visited.
