Ertuğrul Yatı'yla Mustafa Kemal came to the city with a large plane tree in the Millet Farm near Yalova pier attracted the attention.

Plane affected by the image of the yacht was stopped at the request of Ataturk. The boat went ashore. Atatürk rested for a while in the shadow of the plane tree, ordered to build a kiosk around the great plane tree.

The pavilion was built on 21 August 1929 and completed on 12 September 22 days later.

Shifting the mansion
When Ataturk went to the mansion one day in the summer of 1930, the employees asked for permission to cut the branch of the plane tree that sank into the mansion, saying that the branch of the sycamore tree on the side hit the roof of the mansion and damaged the roof and the wall. Ataturk, instead of cutting the plane tree branch, wanted to move the building a little further on the tram rails.

This task was given to Yusuf Ziya Erdem, Director of Science Affairs from Istanbul Municipality, to which Yalova is affiliated. Erdem, chief engineer Ali Galip Alnar and technical staff came to Yalova began work. The team started by digging the foundation and went down to the basic level and the tram rails brought from Istanbul were placed on the foundation of the building. As a result of long efforts, the building was placed on the rails inserted under the foundation.

On the afternoon of August 8, 1930, executive work began. This work was followed by Mustafa Kemal, Makbule Atadan, Deputy Governor Muhittin Üstündağ, Trust Science Director Yusuf Ziya Erdem, engineers and journalists from Istanbul.

The execution of the mansion was done in two stages. On August 8, the terrace section of the building was completed, and in the remaining two days, the execution of the main building on the rails was completed and the building was shifted to the east by 5 meters. Thus, the pavilion was destroyed and the plane tree was cut. In addition, the mansion became known as the Yuruyen Kosk after that day.

Moving the mansion is an important event in terms of showing the importance given to environmental consciousness by Mustafa Kemal. This event increased the awareness of both the mansion and Yalova.

Mustafa Kemal Atatürk rested in this mansion and under the plane tree in Yalova where he came many times after this event. After his death, he donated the mansion to the Turkish nation like all his immovables.

After Atatürk's death, the fame of the mansion decreased. The mansion, which was left unattended for a long time, was taken care of in 2006 and opened and opened as a museum. After this event, the Yuruyen Kosk has regained its former reputation.
