Palandöken Mountain is a tectonic mountain in Erzurum with an altitude of 3125 meters. Palandökenensis, a flower unique to Palandöken, can only be found in May. There is a ski resort in Başköy.

It is the highest point of the environment with its summit located 10 km south of Erzurum. Erzurum city center due to a mountain of 1950 meters height and mass as the finding does not seem as big as Turkey's other mountains over 3,000 meters. There are facilities that can meet all kinds of needs in the hotels area of ​​2100 m which is 4 km away from Erzurum city center. For security purposes, the gendarmerie is on duty 24 hours a day. This location is ideal for camping. You can reach the hotels located above by the road that continues. It is 2450 m high and after this level, the chairlift line is followed and the summit is reached over the ridge. The other road is the road from the village of Başköy to the summit on the southern slope of the mountain. This route also does not involve a technical climbing difficulty.

The highest point of the Palandöken Mountains is called Büyükejder Hill. There are communication transmitters and a private cafeteria, which can be reached by the ski lift during the ski season. There is a special cafeteria on the line descending from the summit, at an altitude of 2500 meters, at the end of the Dragon Lift.
