It is the only sultan mosque in Kütahya. The foundation is registered as Sultan Bayezid Yildirim Han Mosque Sheriff. 48x26 m. It is the largest mosque in Kütahya. When Şehzade Yıldırm Bayezid married the State Shah Hatun, the daughter of Germiyan bey Süleyman Şah, he started to build this mosque when he was the Governor of Kütahya (1381–1389). However, because of the campaign he ran from time to time and at the end of the Ankara War, Timurleng'e captured and then died due to the mosque to finish (813 H. 1410 M.) Musa Çelebi'ye was destined. The foundation of the mosque was organized during the reign of Sultan Mehmed the Conqueror.

On 1 July 1522, Sultan Suleiman the Magnificent left for three days with his army in Kütahya on his way to Rhodes and ordered Mimar Sinan to repair this beautiful mosque. On July 1, 1534, when he went to the Iraqi campaign, he stayed here for four days and performed his prayers in this mosque. II. When Selim was the governor of Kütahya in his prince (1558 - 1566), when he learned of the death of his father, he ordered the orator to read the Friday Sermon on his own behalf on 27 September 1566 and declared his sultanate in this mosque and moved to Istanbul after Friday prayer.

The water of the fountains called Sakahâne was brought by Imadüddin Hezâr Dînarı, one of the Seljuks. Sakahâne was restored in 1765 by Hacı Ali Pasha, who was the governor of Anatolia. Apart from the Sakahan, the ablution houses were also repaired by Ali Pasha. At that time, Ali Pasha had the duty to arrange the foundation of the mosque and look at the properties of the foundation.

Evliya Çelebi stated that the mosque was 180x90 feet in 1672, had two sides and a qibla door, a wooden roof with 57 pine poles and two sofas up to the altar, and a window with 64 iron bars and a single dome. it is also covered with lead covered serapa mason (1611). In 1805, the mosque was destroyed to the prayer with the petition given to Prince Mustafa Efendi, the regent of Kütahya, and was repaired with the effort of the trustees and the public. In this repair, the ceiling of the mosque was built in the style of the cradle cover. In 1889, during the reign of the Governor of Kütahya Veysel Pasha, the old building was demolished to the foundations and the construction of the mosque with its domed and marble pillars was started. The marble columns and plates in the mosque were brought from Çavdarhisar (Aizanoi) ruins and their masters are ”Ilya and Yorgi dan from the local Greeks. The writings on the walls of the mosque belong to Zade Halil Kütahyavi from Hattat Tekirdağ. When the mosque was completed, the governor Ahmed Fuad Pasha provided interior decoration and furnishing and lighting tools. The wooden pulpit is a beautiful work made without any nails. The two clocks found in the mosque were made by famous watchmaker Mustafa Efendi. In the right-hand part of the portico, there is the Vahid Pasha Library, which is climbed with a few steps from the ground and then divided.

Vahid Pasha Library Inscription The library founded by Vahid Pasha in 1812 was in a room in the last congregation part of the mosque. After Pasha was dismissed from the reisülküttablık, there were valuable books in the library built during his residence in Kütahya. Vahid Pasha enriched his library by sending books to the library both from the places where he was a civil servant and from the places where he got negative reaction. In fact, while the shipyard was apart from the security of the tenants, he sent 12 exegesis, 18 hadiths, 17 fiqhs, 8 kalam and sufism, 3 nahivs and consumables, 18 literature, 8 hadiths, 5 lugats, 10 moral books. In 1825, when he was the governor of Aleppo, he sent 12 volumes of books for his library. The seal in the library is in the style of "Vahidi Asrola Seyyid Mehemmed". His library was built with respect to the phased kemal of Abdülbâki Fikrî Efendi, one of the high scholars of Kütahya. In November 1811 and September 1813, he established two foundations for the library. Later, this place was not enough and moved to today's Tile Museum with the initiatives of the governor of the time, Nusrat Bey. The library section in the mosque is used by religious officials today.
