Kırıkkale Tourist Map With Attractions Visiting Places

Kırıkkale, located in the Republic of Turkey is a province of the Central Anatolia Region.

There is no precise information as to where the city derives its name. It is said to have arisen from the shortened merging of Kırıkköy and Kaletepe in the center of the city. Although it is widely believed that this name is popularized by the people, the name of the region is referred to as "Kırıkkal" in Ottoman archival documents. Kırıkkale became a province with a ceremony held by the Prime Minister of the time Turgut Özal in accordance with the law dated 35 June 1989 and numbered 3578. Fikret Güven, the first governor, started his duty as provincial governor with a ceremony held on August 17, 1989.
