Akçakoca Central Mosque This mosque is located in Akçakoca district of Düzce and has a roof covering inspired by the Seljuk Hair Tents.
The mosque project designed by Ergün Subaşı started in 1989. The most prominent architectural feature of the building, whose construction was completed in October 2004, is that instead of the classical single roof system, a roof system inspired by the Turkish ot tent, which is based on octagonal corners used in Seljuk architecture.
