It is a nine-domed structure carried with six masonry feet in the Ulu Mosque type. The Harim was enlarged to the west by three vaulted vaults and one domed section. In front of the north entrance door, there is the last congregation place with seven sections. The entrance section of the last congregation-mihrab axis is covered with a dome and the other sections are covered with a mirror vault. The original minaret site can be seen in the northwest corner of the building, but today's minaret is a few meters from the mosque. The structure has brick-stone alternate walls and lead top covering.

The first building with six domes was restored in 1746 by Reisülküttab Hacı Mustafa Efendi from Kastamonu and three domes in the mihrab direction, mirrored vaulted sections on the west side and the last congregation place were added in this phase. The next restoration of the structure was carried out in 1875 with the aid collected by Kastamonu Governor Naşid Pasha.

In 1915, it was decided to build a minaret, which was disconnected from the building. The arches of the last seven-section congregation, which was built with walls on an unknown date, were opened during the repair in 1940. In 1945, the dome bullets were replaced with plaster windows in the later repair.
