        Kocatepe Mosque, Ankara's Kocatepe districts in which construction started in 1967 and completed the construction of the mosque by the Religious Foundation of Turkey in 1987.

 

          Built on an area of ​​4500 m², the lower part of the mosque has a conference hall, a library, a car park, a commercial and administrative unit. and consists of four half domes. The mosque has 4 minarets with a length of 88 m. Both the elevator and the staircase lead to the minarets. The articles in the mosque were written by Hamit Aytaç and Mahmut Öncü and the articles in the conference hall were written by Emin Barın. The carpet designs of the mosque are prepared by considering the carpet patterns in Afyon Ulucamii. The mosque's chandeliers, mihrab, minbar, doors, tiles and marbles were specially designed and made with fine workmanship. Classical Ottoman Architecture was taken as an example in the interior decoration and tiles, marble, yellow mineral, gold leaf and special paints were used as materials.
