İğneada Longoz National Park is a national park established in 2007 on an area of ​​3,155 ha in Demirköy district of Kırklareli province of Marmara region.
Key features
The national park is located on the border of Igneada town on the Bulgarian border. Ine Bey, who added the region to Turkish lands, was given the name of the settlement and in time it became İğneada. areas combined with different conservation status of Turkey's 39.mill park was created. The area is one of the ecosystems that contain swamps, subasar forests, salt and fresh water lakes and coastal dunes.

Physical properties
The alluvial deposits collected by the streams reaching the Black Sea from the Yıldız Mountains have formed the flood. Erikli Lake is north of Igneada and Mert Lake is south. The dune system along the coast interrupts the settlement of İğneada. The dunes, 50-60 meters wide, extend to the southern Saka Lake. There are unique plants on the dunes which are 10 km long. Sand dunes differentiate the sea from fresh water ecosystems such as swamps, lakes and lozenges.

There are five lakes in the national park area. Although Lake Erikli is a lagoon, it is disconnected from the sea in summer. Lake Mert is located where the Çavuşdere River reaches the sea. Saka Lake is another lake in the south of the park separated from the sea by dunes. Lake Pedina and Lake Hamam are within 1-2 km.

Natural life

Longoz forests and sand dunes are sensitive ecosystems in the area. Representatives of oak-alder-ash forests of Southeast Europe; ash and alder in wetlands, oak species are common in dry areas. Forests are also rich in hugging plants.

Wild cat, wild boar, hare, prairie rabbit, roe deer, tree marten, wolf, badger, fox, weasel, otters, variegated skunk, large-eared bat are among the mammal species living in the national park.

Important bird species; White-tailed eagle, green woodpecker, small forest eagle, owl, hoopoe, black stork, kingfisher, gray heron, with black woodpecker. Anchovy and turbot in the winter season, horse mackerel, haddock and flounder are available in the Black Sea. In fresh water, mullet, trout, silver fish live.

Reptile species; purtük salamander, Thracian tortoise, viper snake, corrugated lizard, water snake with earrings.

Activities in the area can be grouped as follows: photography, birdwatching, ecotourism, forest and mountain sports, dune, lagoon, longoz forest, seasonal swamp, meadow, peat, picnic.

It is possible to reach İğne Island by bus from Istanbul. In addition to making use of the hotels and pensions in the area, there is also the possibility of tent camp.
